Who to contact
Step to Self is the updated AstroCal service. Contact [email protected] for privacy requests and [email protected] for app support. The existing AstroCal contact addresses continue to serve Step to Self.
Account and birth information
When you create an account, authentication services process an account identifier and the name or email you provide. Birth date, time and location are used for the personal calculations you request. Depending on the feature, information is stored on your device or sent to the service to produce your results. Do not enter information about another person without permission.
Calendars and notifications
Calendar access is optional and permission-based. Connecting Google Calendar or Microsoft Outlook lets the backend process the event fields and connection credentials needed for synchronization and timing features. Device calendar access and notifications can be revoked in your device settings; connected accounts can be disconnected in the app. Calendar information is not used for advertising.
Personal journals and reflections
Journey entries, dreams, intentions and reflections are primarily stored on your device in the current app. A server account does not mean these entries are backed up or synchronized across devices. Export the data you want to keep before deleting local data. If you explicitly submit text to a remote interpretation feature or support, that submitted text is processed to fulfill your request.
Usage, diagnostics and purchases
App analytics can record screen views, feature interactions, app version and diagnostic events. Event identifiers may allow events to be associated with an installation or account; they should not be assumed to be completely anonymous. Optional usage collection can be switched off in Data & Security. Purchase verification, account security and essential service logs continue where needed to provide the service. Apple processes payment details; purchase services process transaction and entitlement information.
Service providers
App services include Apple sign-in and StoreKit; Firebase authentication, analytics, crash reporting and notifications; RevenueCat for subscription services; and Google or Microsoft for calendars you connect. AI interpretations, when requested through an enabled AI feature, may process the inputs you submit through OpenAI. Hosting and backend providers process information needed to operate the service. We do not sell personal information or share it for third-party advertising.
This website
This website does not install advertising or optional analytics cookies. Interactive examples run in your browser; they do not ask for birth details or calculate a personal chart. Quote downloads are generated in your browser. Your hosting provider processes technical request information such as IP address and browser details to deliver and secure the site. Following an App Store link or sending an email uses the relevant external service.
Retention, security and international processing
Information is retained for the purposes described here and applicable legal obligations. Account deletion removes associated server data subject to any required retention; it does not automatically erase separate device-local records or Apple billing records. Data may be processed in countries where our service providers operate. Transport encryption and access controls help protect information; no service can guarantee absolute security. Contact us for details about a particular record or request.
Your choices and rights
You can correct profile details, disconnect calendars, change analytics preferences, export available local data and request account deletion. Depending on your location, you may also have rights to access, erase, restrict or object to processing, obtain a portable copy, withdraw consent or complain to a privacy authority. Contact [email protected]; we may verify account ownership before acting on a request.
Children and policy updates
The service is not directed to children below the minimum age required by applicable law. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us. We update this policy when our practices change and display the revision date here.
